When I was growing up, everytime my Dad and I went camping he’d find a good piece of wood and carve out a “Ball in cage” to pass the time. The result was a free floating ball inside a four pillars. It didn’t seem possible. It was a kind of trick object. My dad loved showing them to people and watching them look for the glue, nails or seams. He loved those things. So, of course, when he came to visit and I showed off my new fangled 3D printer I couldn’t help but print out a “ball in a cage” of the future. He loved it.
No go. Print your cages and your balls. And impress your dads
