Filament Reel Holder

A reel holder and filament guide mounted on the side of the machine to improve access and visibility whilst loading and unloading filament.
No bearings are used as the original didn’t seem to need them, I fitted 4 silicon stick on feet to the holder frame to stop it slipping around, also used sticky pads to hold the filament guide to the Zortrax casing.

The two side components are solvent bonded to the base component to form the frame and that’s it for the construction.

I made this modification as I had on two occasions not noticed that the filament had become tangled whilst loading and caused the filament feed to be halted partway into a build. This arrangement makes the filament loading very much easier.
